Study confirms US is ruled by rich, corporate news ignores it
Sunday May 18, 2014
Steve Rendall, FAIR.org
American democracy is no longer very democratic, according to a new university study by Princeton's Martin Gilens and Northwestern Benjamin Page.
Instead, it's dominated by moneyed elites in a process where public opinion has little to no impact on policy.

America longer democratic according to new university study by Princeton Martin Gilens and Northwestern Benjamin Page.

Photo: presstv.ir
A recent study that showed American democracy is no longer very democratic has hardly shown up in the US corporate press
Released a month ago by Princeton's Martin Gilens and Northwestern's Benjamin I. Page, the study concludes:
Economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on US government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence.
The political scientists looked at more than 1,700 policies over 20 years to find out how public opinion translates into policy, and concluded that where economic elite views diverged from those of the public, the public had:
"Zero estimated impact upon policy change, while economic elites are still estimated to have a very large, positive, independent impact."
Bracing news?
The study went viral in social media, but has hardly shown up in the US corporate press.
A month after its release there have been no network news mentions, nor has it appeared in the most influential newspapers — the New York Times, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times.   (The New York Times, 4/21/14 and the Washington Post, 4/8/14 published blog posts on the study.)
The Baltimore Sun (5/12/14) was a rare exception with an op-ed calling for public financing of campaigns to counter the influence of wealth.
Kate Planco Waybright and Jennifer Bevan-Dangel wrote in a response to the study:
"Rather than curl up in a fetal position and cede the fate of our democracy to those with the fattest bank accounts, our organizations are taking action.
We believe public financing of elections has enormous potential to transform our democracy and to help ordinary Americans regain our voices in the political sphere."
There are likely several reasons why corporate media have ignored the study, chief among them that its findings hit too close to home:
The same well-heeled elites and their representatives who dominate US politics and policy are also the owners of US corporate media.
In one study after another, FAIR has shown how corporate media discount popular views and the opinions of the less powerful in favor of elite viewpoints.
Pro-business think tanks are favored over those viewed as less than business friendly; and corporate sources in news stories are far more numerous than those who might be seen as their counterweights — representatives of labor unions, consumer and environmental groups.
FAIR studies have repeatedly shown how the subject of poverty is slighted in news coverage, including a study to be published next month (Extra!, 6/14) that finds coverage of the poor nearly nonexistent, and news sources who are affected by poverty even scarcer.
Indeed, according to the study, America's 482 billionaires received many times as much coverage as America's 50 million poor.
Not that you need a study to demonstrate the media's corporate deference — not when major media figures will come right out and tell you.
As when NBC's Meet the Press anchor David Gregory (11/11/12) faulted Barack Obama for not cozying up more to CEOs, telling an approving Jim Cramer of CNBC:
Jim, I always thought that one of the big mistakes of the first Obama term is that he never had a moment in the Rose Garden where he was flanked by the biggest business leaders in America and said, "Look, we're going to work together in common cause to deal with this economy, to deal with our fiscal position, and ultimately affect America's influence in the rest of the world."   Can he have that moment now?
In fact, Obama did have a moment precisely like that, appearing with several CEOs at a press conference on January 28, 2009, shortly after his inauguration.
It's hard to imagine a Democratic president who has tried harder to make corporate interests his own.
Similarly, when former CNBC host Maria Bartiromo was launching her new Fox News show, she told the media industry website MediaBistro (3/18/14) how her new business would be different — corporations would finally get a chance to tell their side of the story:
Maria Bartiromo: There's a void in the market.
We never hear business people as part of the conversation on a Sunday.
I only hear politicos doing their talking points.
I want to get the guy on the front line, the gal on the front line, telling us why they're not taking money from overseas and putting it here, what should tax reform look like, what should immigration reform look like.
So I'm going to bring business people into the conversation on a Sunday morning.
The only mention of the study on cable news channels came on MSNBC's All In With Chris Hayes (4/16/14), where the host cited gun legislation requiring a background check before one could purchase a firearm, that had as high as 90 percent public backing, but was voted down in a congress swimming in gun lobby money.
Hayes concluded, "In fact, it sounds like the textbook definition of oligarchy, of government by the few." The wealthy few.

I am not in favor of any restrictions on the 2nd Amendment.
I believe people in the US would be much safer if open-carry policy was allowed everywhere.
Then there would be someone to take care of the occasional shooter.
We could eliminate the police structure as we know it and establish communities assistance programs.
Would not that be novel.

A torturous 'punishment' session turned fatal for a mentally-ill prisoner, when prison guards forced him to stand in a tiny shower stall while being blasted by scalding hot water until his skin began to shrivel away from his body and he died.
Serving a 2-year sentence for a victimless crime, possession of cocaine, at the time of his death he had only one month to go before his release.
The Miami Herald reports that it was DOC Officer Roland Clarke who was on video placing Rainey in the shower at 7:38 p.m on June 23, 2012.    He was found dead at 9:30 p.m.
When Rainey’s body was found, his skin was cooked to the point where it was coming loose from his body, a condition known as slippage.
The facility then did its best to cover up the death.
Sources say that it was alleged that Rainey had a heart attack, yet DOC refused to perform an autopsy.   The official cause of death has never been announced.
Conveniently, the camera outside the shower 'malfunctioned' right after Rainey was forced in.
“I can’t take it no more, I’m sorry.    I won’t do it again,” Rainey screamed over and over, the Miami Herald discovered from a fellow inmate’s grievance complaint.
“I then seen his burnt dead body naked body go about two feet from my cell door on a stretcher,” the prison inmate Hempstead writes.
The Rainey investigation has remained open since 2012, with no explanation about why it has taken so long.
No one has been charged with the death of Darren Rainey.
They told people that he had a heart attack

Child denied school lunch.

Though the boy offered to pay $2 of the $2.45 tab that day with the money he had on him and then bring the remainder in the next day, his offer was turned down and his lunch was thrown in the trash by a school official.

Not only was the 16-year-old humiliated in front of his peers by the very public incident, but his name was also posted, along with that of lots of other students with delinquent expenses, on a list in the cafeteria for everyone to see.

I was very angry to the point, I was sick to my stomach, says Keown, the boy's mother.

If the economy is really “getting better”, then why have millions upon millions of formerly middle class Americans been pushed to the point of utter despair?
The stories that you are about to read are absolutely heartbreaking.
I don’t know how anyone can read them without getting chills.
In America today, if you lose a good job, there is a good chance that you will get back on your feet before too long.
But there is also a good chance that you won’t be able to find a decent job and will plunge into the abyss of depression and desperation that so many millions of other Americans have fallen into.
As I wrote about earlier this month, the U.S. economy is definitely not getting any better.
No Janet Yellen, The Economy Is NOT “Getting Better”
For example, if you assume that the percentage of Americans that want to work is about at the long term average, then the official unemployment rate in the United States would be above 11 percent.

The population of the U.S. on April 1, 2000 was 281,421,906
This has increased by 36 million to 317 million in 2014
People working has risen from 136 and a half million in 2000 to 145 million in 2014 an increase of 8 and a half million people.
People working have increased by 8 and a half million but this includes part-time workers who would like to work in a full-time position.
The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons, involuntary part-time workers, is 7.3 million in January 2014
This means 1 million or 1 and a half million full time jobs have been added between 2000 and 2014 while the population has increased by 36 million.
Many of those involuntary part-time workers are working in tipping jobs.
Workers in places where they receive tips have a $2.13 an hour base.
$2.13 an hour for tipping positions has not increased for more than two decades, since 1991, when US federal law was passed not to increase the minimum wage for anyone receiving tips, no matter how minimum these tips are.
If a worker does not receive enough tips on a certain night, they go away hungry.
In 2000, as most of the time I lived in the United States for more than three decades, people who wanted to work full time could find full-time employment.
There was no recording of 'part time for economic reasons, involuntary part-time workers,' because except in a few pockets there weren't enough people to record.
That does not mean there was not poverty!

The criminality of judges turning you out of your home because you can no longer pay has not yet registered in the minds of humans
The following is an excerpt from a comment that was recently left by one of my readers…
“I live right at ground zero.
South West Virginia and let me tell you things are bad and getting worse by the day.
We don’t do drugs but have family members hooked on meth and or pills or both.
Many of these pills are prescribed by local doctors either Suboxone to get you off the opiates, a total joke by the way and tons of Xanax why would anyone need 120 Xanax a month how can you even be expected to function.
These pills get traded for cash sex and other items, same goes for the SNAP cards.
We have family members going to jail repeatedly for the same crimes making meth, selling pills and stealing anything that’s not nailed down.

I’ve done whatever I could to make ends meet.
Through some connections, I got a temp job as a truck driver in Napa Valley — a 3-hour commute from where I live.
I lived in my car and worked during grape harvest.”

In this tough economic environment, debt collectors are becoming even more aggressive.
Just check out the kind of harassment that one woman named Jennifer Posey has been put through…
“This is Jimmy Lee calling from CheckCare.
Just letting you know we’re in full force,” he said.
The man had a thick Southern accent that stretched the word “you” into a two-syllable accusation.
“We’re going to have warrants out for your arrest in Columbus, Ga.,” the man threatened.
“We know you have an apartment on the canal in Clearwater.”
It was when he mentioned her home in Florida that Posey began to feel anxious.
“We’re hurting you,” he continued.
“We’re hurting your family, your son’s family, your cousin’s family.   Whatever we can do to get you to pay.”
Forty minutes later, her phone rang again.   “What about that 12-, 13-year-old child you’re trying to raise?” the voice sneered.

“I am constantly told I am ‘overqualified.’ I’ve also been told to dumb down my resume, but I can’t just erase 30 years of experience.
You can only stand the word ‘no’ so many times.
There are times that I cry at night wondering what happened, and at times I have thought about suicide.
But, I keep on going, hoping the cycle will break.”

In response to my recent article about Appalachia, a reader named Rob shared the following…
“I am from rural south central KY (Brodhead, Rockcastle County) and I can tell you that most of the things described above are exactly how it is here.
There are so many people on drugs it’s crazy.
First it was the meth, which was more of a problem back in 2002-2007, then the pain pills really started becoming a huge problem, OxyContin and perc 30?s (roxicet) obtained from Florida and Georgia doctors.
The pain pills are something that you can’t just walk away from after doing them for a while; they cause people to steal from family, sell everything they own, and/or prostitute themselves in order to avoid opiate withdrawal.”
Vast stretches of Appalachia look like they have been through a war
A 30-year-old man from California named Alejandro…
“I need to provide for my son who is diagnosed with autism and my baby girl.
I’ve sold a bunch of my belongings to try and put food on the table, to buy clothes for my kids, to pay rent and utilities and to put gas in my vehicle to go job hunting.
Not having money for necessities takes a toll on my mind.
Depression has kicked in.
It really takes a toll on one’s self-esteem and confidence to move forward.
I’ve applied to countless amounts of jobs, only to not even get a call back.
I’ve gone from construction site to construction site, only to be told they are not hiring.
Finally, I got at least a positive call back from a company telling me they will call me to work in a couple of weeks.
I am crossing my fingers and praying.
There are millions of people in my situation or even worse.”
PBS — long term unemployment
An excerpt from a heartbreaking letter that an unemployed woman named Paula Bray sent to Barack Obama…
Dear Mr. President,
I write to you today because I have nowhere else to turn.
I lost my full time job in September 2012.
I have only been able to find part-time employment — 16 hours each week at $12 per hour — but I don’t work that every week.
For the month of December, my net pay was $365.
My husband and I now live in an RV at a campground because of my job loss.
Our monthly rent is $455 and that doesn’t include utilities.
We were given this 27-ft. 1983 RV when I lost my job.
This is America today.
We have no running water; we use a hose to fill jugs.
We have no shower but the campground does.
We have a toilet but it only works when the sewer line doesn’t freeze — if it freezes, we use the campground’s restrooms.
At night, in my bed, when it’s cold out, my blanket can freeze to the wall of the RV.
We don’t have a stove or an oven, just a microwave, so regular-food cooking is out.
Recently we found a small toaster oven on sale so we can bake a little now because eating only microwaved food just wasn’t working for us.
We don’t have a refrigerator, just an icebox (a block of ice cost about $1.89).
It keeps things relatively cold.
If it’s freezing outside, we just put things on the picnic table.

Sadly most of the trillions the banks have been getting has been soaked up by the rich and those playing the stock market.
Some of the extra created by the industrious 'Federal Reserve' goes to the policing agents and the military, for the US as much of the Western world is now a combined military-police-state.

Despite a number of laws forbidding them from accepting gifts from lobbyists, congressional leaders regularly exploit legal loopholes to jet-set throughout the country on lobbyists’ expense, according to a new report.
Members of Congress have taken trips to California’s Napa Wine Valley, Colorado ski country, and other hotspots around the US and Puerto Rico — all paid for by companies and corporate representatives hoping to cozy up and hopefully influence politicians.
A law was signed in 2007 aiming to curb such abuse after lawmakers were busted taking paid golf trips to Europe, but some creative scheming has made it possible for politicians to enjoy their weekends outside of Washington.
The New York Times has revealed that political action committee (PACs) and political campaigns controlled by politicians on both sides of the aisle collect money from wealthy donors and corporate executives, and then use that money to fund catering and lodging expenses at swanky resort locations.
There, at five star hotels in Las Vegas, Florida, and Bermuda, Democrats and Republicans mingle with executives from an array of businesses.
Vic Fazio, a California congressman-turned-lobbyist, told the Times:
“It has become kind of the norm.
To the average citizen, it might seem like there is a disconnect between the reality of life in America and these getaways.”
Between 50 and 100 lobbyists make generally accompany lawmakers on the trips, donating anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 to the lawmaker’s PAC for the privilege.
Such activity is perfectly legal under current campaign law, a contentious topic that legislators have sought to eliminate, amend, and completely overhaul in recent years.
Reporters from the Times followed Senator Kelly Ayotte, a New Hampshire Republican, on a recent ski trip to Park City, Utah, where she was joined by dozens of lobbyists and executives.
“Anyone who wants to do some runs with me, I would love to,” she said.
Ayotte campaigned as a Tea Party candidate and frequently spoke out against Washington insiders who spent their time with corporate interests.
Multimillion-dollar home of Gordon Smith former Oregon senator current chief executive of the National Association of Broadcasters
Yet she “kicked off the new year” at the “multimillion-dollar home of Gordon Smith,” a former Oregon senator and current chief executive of the National Association of Broadcasters.
The National Association of Broadcasters currently has a number of issues up for discussion in the Senate and, just three weeks before the Utah trip, Ayotte publicly argued against an auction of the television broadcast spectrum, saying it could hurt TV broadcasters.
Ayotte is like other congressmen and women in that they do not deny partaking in these events but are also reluctant to discuss the details with the press. Steve Duprey, her campaign finance chairman, told the New Hampshire Union Leader that it was “manifestly unfair” for media outlets to report on the story.
Ayotte would have “preferred to stay home in New Hampshire with her family rather than travel to Utah for a day-and-a-half over the Christmas break, but the reality is she has to raise funds in-state and out-of-state for her campaign,” according to spokesman Jeff Grappone.
Yet she, as with the other lawmakers who engage in such activity, seems unlikely to stop associating with so many fat cats unless the PACs can be controlled.
“I hope to make this an annual event,” Ayotte said.

Khawasi who met with the local residents in Siah Gerd district, said US forces initially conducted an airstrike in Surkhi area of Siah Gerd district which left at least two kids dead and their mother injured.
Local residents also told Khawasi that US forces resumed airstrike from 10 pm local time which continued until early morning on Wednesday.
Satar Khawasi said a brief report has been prepared which also includes the pictures of the victims and the documents will be presented in Afghan parliament on Saturday.
This comes as the Afghan presidential palace media following a statement on Wednesday condemned the airstrike and said at least eight people including a woman and seven children were killed.

Number Of Working Age Americans Without A Job Has Risen By Almost 10 Million Under Obama

Photo: investmentwatchblog.com
That headline is not a misprint.
The number of working age Americans that do not have a job has increased by nearly 10 million since Barack Obama first entered the White House.
In January 2009, the number of
“officially unemployed” workers plus the number of Americans “not in the labor force” was sitting at a grand total of 92.6 million.
Today, that number has risen to 102.2 million.
That means that the number of working age Americans that are not working has grown by close to 10 million since Barack Obama first took office.
So why does the “official unemployment rate” keep going down?
Well, it is because the federal government has been pretending that millions upon millions of unemployed workers have “left the labor force” over the past few years and do not want to work anymore.
The government says that another 347,000 workers “left the labor force” in December.
That is nearly five times larger than the 74,000 jobs that were “created” by the U.S. economy last month.
And it is important to note that
more than half of those jobs were temporary jobs, and it takes well over 100,000 new jobs just to keep up with population growth each month.
So the unemployment rate should not have gone down.
If anything, it should have gone up.
11.5 percent
In fact, if the federal government was using an honest labor force participation rate, the official unemployment rate would be far higher than it is right now.
Instead of 6.7 percent, it would be 11.5 percent, and it has stayed at about that level since the end of the last recession.
But “6.7 percent” makes Obama look so much better than
“11.5 percent”, don’t you think?
The labor force participation rate is now at a
35 year low, and the only way that the federal government has been able to get the “unemployment rate” to go down is by removing hundreds of thousands of Americans out of the labor force every month.
Why don’t they just get it over with and announce that they have decided that all workers immediately leave the labor force the moment that they lose their jobs?
That way we could have an unemployment rate of “0.0 percent” and Obama could be hailed as a great economic savior.
Of course the truth is that the employment crisis in the United States is about as bad now as it was during the depths of the last recession.
If you want a much more accurate reading of the employment picture in America, just look at the employment-population ratio.
The percentage of working age Americans that actually have a job continues to stagnate at an extremely low level.
In fact, the percentage of working age Americans that are employed has stayed between 58.2 percent and 58.8 percent for 52 months in a row…

Number Of Working Age Americans Without A Job Has Risen By Almost 10 Million Under Obama

Does that look like an “employment recovery” to you?
Because no matter how hard I squint my eyes, I just can’t see it.
The percentage of Americans that actually have jobs should have bounced back at least a little bit by now.
But it has not happened.
And guess what?
Most people don’t know this, but the U.S. economy actually
created fewer jobs in 2013 than it did in 2012.
So the momentum of job creation is actually going the wrong way.
No matter how rosy the mainstream media makes things out to be, the reality on the ground tells an entirely different story.
For example, just check out the desperation that was displayed on the streets of
New York City last week…
The line wrapped nearly around an entire city block on Friday as approximately 1,500 people waited in Queens for a chance to apply for a coveted union job as painters or blasters on bridges and steel structures.
The first few people on line had been there since 1 p.m. on Tuesday when the temperature in New York City was in the single digits.
The job that those desperate workers wanted to apply for only pays $17.20 an hour.
Of course that is far from an isolated incident.
Last week, I wrote about how
1,600 workers recently applied for just 36 jobs at an ice cream plant in Maryland.
We would not be witnessing scenes like these if the unemployment rate in America was really just 6.7 percent.
An article
by Phoenix Capital Research does a good job of summarizing how useless the official government numbers have become…
Since 2009, we’ve been told that things have improved.
The fact of the matter is that the improvement has been largely due to accounting tricks rather than any real change in reality.
Sure you can make unemployment look better by not counting people, you can claim the economy is growing by ignoring inflation, you can argue that inflation is low because you don’t count food or energy, but the reality is that all of these arguments are grade “A” BS.
We are now five years into the “recovery.”
The single and I mean SINGLE accomplishment from spending over $3 trillion has been the stock market going higher.
This is a complete and total failure.
Based on the business cycle alone, the economy should be roaring.
What does it say that we’ve spent this much money and accomplished so little?
The word is FAILURE.
The media is lying about the economy.
They have been for years. Even the BLS now admits that its methodologies are either inefficient (read: DON’T work) or outright wrong.
The cold, hard reality of the matter is that there has not been an economic recovery in this nation.
Anyone that tries to tell you that is
lying to you.
And now the next major wave of the economic collapse is rapidly approaching.
The U.S. national debt is on pace to more than double during the eight years of the Obama administration and the Federal Reserve has been recklessly printing up trillions of dollars.
The long-term damage that they have done to our economy is incalculable.
But despite all of those extraordinary “stimulus” measures, the percentage of Americans that are actually working has not budged.
If we were going to have a recovery, it would have happened by this point.
In fact, this is all the “recovery” that we are going to experience.
From here on out, this is about as good as things are going to get.
As bad as you may think things are now, the truth is that this is rip-roaring prosperity compared to what is coming.
I hope that you are getting prepared

The White House on Thursday challenged a group of senators to admit they are working to push the country toward war with Iran, upping the tension between the administration and Senate advocates of tough new sanctions amid nuclear negotiations.

If certain members of Congress want the United States to take military action, they should be up front with the American public and say so, Bernadette Meehan, National Security Council spokeswoman, said in a statement. Otherwise, it’s not clear why any member of Congress would support a bill that possibly closes the door on diplomacy and makes it more likely that the United States will have to choose between military options or allowing Iran’s nuclear program to proceed.

New Study Links Multiple Infant Vaccines To Increased Death Rates
December 29, 2013 by Arjun Walia
From birth, children are bombarded with a variety of different vaccinations, just take a look at the immunization schedule for children in the United States. (here)
A new study published in the journal Vaccine has linked multiple infant vaccines to an increased rate of infant mortality.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24325827
The vaccines in question are the DTP, MV and YF vaccines. The DTP vaccine refers to a combination of vaccines against three diseases; diptheria, pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus. MV refers to the measles vaccine and YF refers to the yellow fever vaccine.
Studies from low-income countries have indicated that the co-administration of these vaccines is associated with increased mortality.
Studies also indicate similar negative effects when the Pentavalent and YF vaccines are co-administrered.

“In 2007-2011, we conducted a randomized placebo-controlled trial of vitamin A at routine vaccination contacts among children aged 6-23 months in urban and rural Guinea-Bissau.
In the present study, we included 2331 children randomized to placebo who received live vaccines only (MV or MV+YF) or a combination of live and inactivated vaccines (MV+DTP or MV+YF+pentavalent).
Mortality was compared in Cox proportional hazards models stratified for urban/rural enrolment adjusted for age and unevenly distributed baseline factors.
In line with previous studies of DTP, the present results indicate that pentavalent vaccine co-administered with MV and YF is associated with increased mortality.”
This study comes out of Guinea-Bissau, a West African country.
It’s on par with other studies that have already created much cause for concern pointing to the fact that the co-administration of the DTP vaccine and the MV vaccine increases infant mortality.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21093496
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17092614
Over the past few years, multiple studies from all over the globe have shed light on the fact that some vaccines can indeed pose a threat to human health.
The mainstream continues to push vaccines as safe, effective and necessary, completely disregarding the unreported darker side to immunization.
The fact that infant mortality is sometimes correlated with the co-administration of vaccines shows the vaccines can be unsafe.
It’s a fact that is extremely opposed to the largely held belief that vaccination is always the best choice.
For anybody who has researched the subject, a realization that vaccinations may not always the best choice is becoming common even though many on the planet today still believe vaccines should in fact be mandatory!
Number of reasons to think about vaccinations
There are a number of reasons to think about it before vaccinating yourself or your child.
One reason is the multitude of studies available that indicate the potential danger of many vaccines, another reason is the fact that the vaccine manufactures are usually the ones funding the research.
Pharmaceutical sponsored medical research is what Doctors are given access too, completely disregarding publicly funded and unbiased research.
One great example is a study that uncovered the fact that the UK government in conjunction with multiple pharmaceutical companies knew about the potential dangers of vaccinations over 30 years ago.
You can read more about that here:

http://www.ecomed.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/3-tomljenovic.pdf
It comes out of the University of British Colombia, dept. of Ophthalmology.
The belief that vaccines are extremely safe and effective comes from mass marketing and media.
If you look at the science, and the number of published peer-reviewed studies, as well as reviewed studies done by experts from around the world linking vaccines to potential harm, we see a completely different story.
It’s another great lesson on why we shouldn’t just believe what we are told with blind faith, and that there is more research to be done when it comes to vaccinations.
It’s important for us to listen to our intuition, and seek out information for ourselves.
These studies are done by experts, for experts by researchers and universities all across the world.
There is information on both sides of the coin, not just one.

My take on this is that with vaccines the medical profession is playing God.
As the medical profession used leeches to suck blood, which sometimes helped people, those with high blood pressure, but killed those with low blood pressure.
Taking vaccines is playing dice with yourself or your child.
Likely you will be in the majority and will not be affected, at least to the extent of injury or death.
For a few, injury or death is the situation.
There are also implications with the body's immune system.
For such diseases as polio, the weighing is different to that for such diseases as chicken-pox.
Then that which is being added to the vaccines should also be questioned.
Also research is showing that single vaccines taken show less harmful results than taking multiple vaccines at one time.
The number of vaccines taken into the body is a consideration, especially for a new-born.
I am grateful that I do not have to make such decisions for a child.
For myself, now that I am an adult and elderly, I do not take vaccines into my body.
I do take vitamin, mineral and herb supplements and take (Vitamin as named) D3 which is lanoline, refined sheep-fat, treated with sun rays — D3 has to be taken in high enough quantity to have effect for sustained health, a 10,000 IU capsule is about having 15 minutes in the sun.
This is not medical advice — I am not a medical doctor — it is merely stating how I have lived my life and live my life.
I had very few vaccines before the age of 21, less than three in total I believe, none multiple.
I have had no vaccines since.

An email I sent December 29 2013
This is not medical advice because I am not a doctor.
Over the past eight years I have been taking d3 which is lanolin, refined sheep fat, treated with sun rays.
I take 20,000 IU's per hour if a cold or flu-like symptom occurs, until sleep.
Usually in the morning cold and flu symptoms are gone, but if they are still present or return during the day I take 20,000 IU's per hour, 2 x 10,000 IU capsules again until sleep or until the symptoms go away.
I reckon one 10,000 IU small capsule of d3 is about 15 minutes in the sun.
Somehow people don't seem to be out enough in the sun.
D3 has many other benefits to the body as the value of being in the sun effects every aspect of health integration.
I take C and E, a multiple vitamin/mineral, iodine and trace minerals and varied herbs including Turmeric and Curcumin (for oral hygiene and other reasons) but D3 I have found can be used in an over-the-counter medication fashion.
I have a high quantity of fruit and vegetables in my diet.
When I am not experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, which is most of the time, I take 10,000 IU or 20,000 IU per day
I do not take any other medication because for me personally I have not found I need any.
400 IU of D3 is 1µG — this ratio only applies to D3, different ratios apply to other products.
Again this is not medical advise — I am not a doctor — it is merely stating how I have lived my life and live my life.

This may sound familiar — the vaccine was promoted by national health organizations, the main stream news, schools, workplaces and on television to encourage everyone to get the jab.

ADHD does not exist

Pop quiz: Is the proportion of American children suffering from the disease known as attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder . . .
a) Less than 5%, as we believed before the early 1990s?
b) More than 11%, and rising, as suggested by CDC statistics?
c) Zero?
The correct answer is (c), says neurologist Richard Saul in his forthcoming book, “ADHD Does Not Exist: The Truth About Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder” (HarperWave), which is sure to cause controversy when it comes out in February.
ADHD does not exist - two minutes to jot down a prescription may lead to years of consequences, short-term side effects of stimulants include loss of sleep, increased anxiety, irritability and mood problems.

Over the long term, use of ADHD drugs can lead to unhealthy weight loss, poor concentration and memory, even reduced life expectancy or self-destructive behaviors not excluding suicide.

Wiki
After a long career treating patients complaining of such problems as short attention spans and an inability to focus, Saul is convinced that ADHD is a collection of symptoms, not a disease, and shouldn’t be listed in the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.
Treating ADHD as a disease is a huge mistake, according to Saul.   Imagine walking into a doctor’s office with severe abdominal pains and simply being prescribed painkillers.   Then you walk away, pain-free.   Later you die of appendicitis.
Patients show up at the clinic with their own ADHD diagnoses these days, simply because ADHD is in the air all around us — and because they want to score some delightful drugs like Adderall or Ritalin, or because their parents want an easy way to get them to sit down and shut up.
Adderall and Ritalin are stimulants, though, and the more you take them the more you develop a tolerance for them, which can lead to a dangerous addiction spiral.
The term attention deficit disorder was made official in 1980, when it appeared in that year’s edition of the DSM (the label changed to ADHD seven years later).   Subsequent editions have steadily loosened the definition, and diagnoses have skyrocketed accordingly — from 7.8% in 2003 to 9.5% in 2007 to 11% in 2011.   That’s one in nine children, two-thirds of them boys, who are being slapped with the ADHD label.   Two-thirds of these children have been prescribed a stimulant.
“ADHD makes a great excuse,” Saul notes.
“The diagnosis can be an easy-to-reach-for crutch.   Moreover, there’s an attractive element to an ADHD diagnosis, especially in adults — it can be exciting to think of oneself as involved in many things at once, rather than stuck in a boring rut.”
In private practice, Saul found himself wondering, what other problems do these patients have besides being easily distracted? One girl he treated, it turned out, was being disruptive in class because she couldn’t see the blackboard.   Correct diagnois: myopia.   She needed glasses, not drugs.
A 36-year-old man who complained about his addiction to online games and guessed he had ADHD, it turned out, was drinking too much coffee and sleeping only four to five hours a night.   Correct diagnosis: sleep deprivation.   He needed blackout shades, a white-noise machine and a program that shut all his devices off at midnight.
A young man who asked, “Can’t you just ask me a few questions and write me a prescription?” simply left the office when Saul started probing too deeply into whatever was ailing him.
One by one, nearly all of Saul’s patients turned out to have some disease other than ADHD, such as Tourette’s, OCD, fragile X syndrome (a genetic mutation linked to mental retardation), autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, learning disabilities or such familiar conditions as substance abuse, poor hearing or even giftedness.   A boy who was disruptive and inattentive in math class (but no other) was, simply, bored by the material and needed to be advanced a grade to regain his concentration.
In a few cases, there was simply no diagnosis.   One adult who thought she had ADHD and had been prescribed stimulants by another doctor got a different take from Saul.   He advised her to instead return to her habit of exercising regularly and cut back on work hours.
“I now realize it wasn’t ADHD,” she told him later, pleased with the progress she made as a result.   “It was just life.”
The explosion in ADHD diagnoses and related prescriptions of stimulants is not without substantial costs.   Potentially addictive drugs are not to be given out like Skittles.
“I know of far too many colleagues,” Saul writes, “who are willing to write a prescription for a stimulant with only a cursory examination of the patient, such as the ‘two-minute checklist,’ for ADHD.”
Two minutes to jot down a prescription may lead to years of consequences: short-term side effects of stimulants include loss of sleep, increased anxiety, irritability and mood problems.   Over the long term, use of these drugs can lead to unhealthy weight loss, poor concentration and memory, even reduced life expectancy or self-destructive behaviors not excluding suicide.

Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac — three times the average starting dose for adults! — when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather’s girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota.   He then shot himself — 10 dead, 12 wounded.
Cory Baadsgaard, age 16, Wahluke, Washington state High School, was on Paxil — which caused him to have hallucinations — when he took a rifle to his high school and held 23 classmates hostage.   He has no memory of the event.
