From Kewe:
This is every governments WORST nightmare!   When THE PEOPLE wake up and say enough is enough!
So what should the politicians in Spain do?
They should negotiate with the president of Catalonia accepting whatever will result from such negotiations.
Loss of power is the antipathy of how politicians view their status. This means loss of ego and loss of revenue and so also the ability of politicians to control, which is their main purpose in getting the job, apart from the perks they get from the masses who they control.
As Trump needs to negotiate with the President of North Korea, so this separation of Catalonia from Spain needs to be accepted.
For the Catalonia separation, this is not the end of the world for Spain.
Time may show this is not the best for Spain but, and if, a sizeable number of people decide they no longer wish to be ruled by an overhead body, such as the UK with regard to Europe, then that wish has to be respected.
People are beginning to understand, are waking to a reality, where their desire is to have more control over their lives.
The politicians have to retreat, loose some if not all of their power, and life for everyone goes on.

Let's talk about autism.
I am a gastroenterologist when I first heard from a mother of a child with autism in 1995. I had never heard of it.
It was so rare when I was at medical school when I qualified in 1981 that we were not taught about autism.
It was one in 10, 1 in fifteen thousand.
It was so rare and there were no registry of autism that the precise prevalence of this disorder was completely unknown.
